§ 10-17. Membership of the board.

The board shall consist of five (5) members. The initial members of the board shall be appointed by the Pulaski County judge, subject to confirmation by the Pulaski County quorum court, for terms of one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), and five (5) years, respectively. Successor members shall be appointed by the county judge, subject to confirmation by the quorum court, for five (5) year terms. Each member shall serve until his successor is appointed and qualified. In the event of a vacancy in the membership of the board, however caused, a majority of the board shall elect a successor member to serve the unexpired term. A member of the board shall be eligible to succeed himself or herself, provided, no member shall serve more than two consecutive terms.
