§ 11-38. Definitions.

  • As used in this article:

    (a)

    Alcoholic beverage means all intoxicating liquors of any sort, as defined by the laws of the state, other than beer and wine, as defined herein, and shall include spirituous, vinous or malt liquors as defined by Arkansas Statutes section 48-102 et seq., as amended.

    (b)

    Beer means any fermented liquor made from malt or any substitute therefor and having an alcoholic content of not more than five (5) percent by weight and as defined by Arkansas Statutes section 48-501 et seq., as amended.

    (c)

    Person means one (1) or more natural persons, a company, corporation, partnership, syndicate, association or business.

    (d)

    Wine means any fermented alcoholic liquor made from grapes, berries or other fruits or vegetables and having an alcoholic content.
