§ 16-1. Petty cash funds.

  • (a)

    There is hereby created in the sheriff's department, pursuant to Arkansas Statutes section 17-1805, a petty cash fund for paying miscellaneous expenses of prisoner transfer to be called the "prisoner transfer petty cash fund" and for the purpose of making change for the collection of fines from municipal court to be called the "municipal court fine cash fund."

    (b)

    The sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) is approved for the "prisoner transfer petty cash fund" and the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) is approved for the "municipal court fine cash fund" as described in paragraph (a) of this section and Arkansas Statutes section 17-1805.

    (c)

    The sheriff shall account for and pay all funds currently held for that purpose but seven hundred dollars ($700.00) into the treasurer's office. Five hundred dollars ($500.00) retained shall be for the "prisoner transfer petty cash fund" and two hundred dollars ($200.00) retained shall be for the "municipal court fine fund" and that shall be maintained and accounted for as required by law.
