§ 16-2. Payments to employees for court appearances on non-duty days authorized.

(a)

The county sheriff's department is hereby authorized to pay its employees ten dollars ($10.00) per day for each non-duty day they are required to appear in court.

(b)

The payment authorized in paragraph (a) of this section shall be charged to the appropriation to the sheriff's department for regular salaries and the employees shall be entitled to receive this amount over and above the regular salary authorized.
