§ 16-4. Confiscated drug money.*

(a)

Confiscated money. All money confiscated by the sheriffs department during drug transactions and all money obtained from the sale of confiscated drug-related property shall be deposited in the general fund.

(b)

Use. Upon appropriation by the quorum court, this money shall be transferred to Department 500 line item 86, Special Projects—Drug Enforcement, and shall be used exclusively for the enforcement of antidrug laws.
