§ 17-22. Waiver of sales tax in enterprise zones.*

  • (a)

    It shall be the policy of the quorum court to encourage and support efforts to coordinate the planning for and creation of enterprise zones within the county.

    (b)

    There shall be a moratorium on the waiver of the county sales tax by the quorum court on any enterprise zone proposal made after January 1, 1985, and until January 1, 1988 (three (3) years).

    (c)

    Any local government desiring a waiver of the county sales tax within an enterprise zone area prior to January 1, 1985, is encouraged to coordinate their efforts with the county judge's office so that such establishment may be made part of a coordinated effort and presented to the quorum court prior to January 1, 1985.
