§ 2-82. County depository board.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 19-8-106, each quorum court shall by ordinance establish a county depository board; and the Pulaski County quorum court hereby establishes that the members of the county depository board will be the county judge, the assessor and the treasurer; and the depository board shall designate depositories and supervise the depositing of all county funds and all other public funds held by the county treasurer, except funds of a school district.

    (b)

    Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 19-8-105, annually on December 1, the bank commissioner shall furnish, to each county depository board, a list of all the banking institutions doing business in this state which are members of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; and the commissioner shall recommend the maximum amount of deposit of public funds each bank shall be allowed to receive. It is the intent of the quorum court that the county judge shall call a meeting of the county depository board upon receipt of that list, or no later than January 31 of each year, to designate the banks in which Pulaski County will deposit funds.
