§ 2-97. Officers.

  • Each county administrative board shall, at its initial meeting of a quorum of members, elect one of their members to serve as chairman and one as secretary for a term of one year. The chairman shall thereafter preside over the board throughout the term as chairman. The secretary shall thereafter keep the minutes of the meeting and make notifications of special meetings as required above throughout the term. In the absence of the chairman or secretary, a quorum of the board may select a member to act as a temporary chairman or secretary. The temporary chairman shall preside at that meeting and conduct the affairs of the board until the return of the chairman.
