§ 4-45. Definitions.*

  • As used in this article, unless the context plainly requires otherwise:

    Inmate shall mean any person convicted of a misdemeanor by any court of this state, and committed to the county community correctional facility by virtue thereof and/or committed in default of a payment of any fine or costs adjudged against him.

    Work release shall mean a program by which participating inmates may be gainfully employed or permitted to attend school outside the confines of the county community correctional facility during the period of their commitment.
