§ 17-3. Computer software; responsible official designated.*

(a)

The county assessor is hereby designated as the responsible official for the development, operation and maintenance of the application system software necessary to carry out the functions of his office as imposed by law. Further, the county assessor is designated as the responsible official for the development, operation and maintenance of the application system software necessary to provide the electronic data processing needs of the county collector's office as imposed by law.

(b)

The county assessor is also designated as the responsible official for evaluating and recommending personnel needs, system enhancements and other support requirements for the data processing functions of the county collector's and assessor's tax administration duties as defined herein and otherwise required by law.
