§ 4-9. Judicial enhancement fund.*

  • (a)

    Established. Effective April 1, 1988, a fund entitled the "judicial enhancement fund" shall be established.

    (b)

    Purpose. The "judicial enhancement fund" shall be used for the sole purpose of paying reasonable and necessary costs incurred in the establishment and maintenance of court personnel and equipment.

    (c)

    Fee. In addition to those fees presently taxed as costs, the clerks of the circuit, chancery, and probate courts of Pulaski County shall collect, in each civil or criminal matter filed in their respective courts, a fee equal to fifty (50) per cent of the fees presently taxed as costs. All funds so collected shall be paid to the "judicial enhancement fund."

    (d)

    Responsibility. The clerks of Pulaski County probate, chancery and circuit courts shall be responsible for calculating the monies which are described in subsection (c) of this section.
